This exciting partnership offers an easy, impactful way for Walmart customers to support the Lauren McCluskey Foundation’s life saving work. Now, when you shop online, in-store, or through the Walmart app, you can choose to “round up” your total at checkout and donate the change directly to the Lauren McCluskey Foundation. Your spare cents can make a real difference in helping us create safer campuses and communities across the country.
As a Spark Good nonprofit partner, the Foundation joins Walmart’s national program where customers can support simply by shopping. It’s a small gesture that adds up quickly—and it means that every trip to Walmart can now be an opportunity to drive positive change.
Getting Started Is Easy
Setting up giving through Walmart only takes a couple minutes. Here’s how:
- Visit Walmart Spark Good.
- Log in to your Walmart account.
- Search for and select the Lauren McCluskey Foundation as your preferred nonprofit.
- Choose to round up your purchases to the nearest dollar at checkout.
That’s it! From that point on, every time you check out, you’ll have the option to round up and automatically donate your change. You can manage or update your giving preferences at any time through your Walmart account.
Why This Matters
The Lauren McCluskey Foundation was created in honor of Lauren Jennifer McCluskey, a University of Utah honors student-athlete whose life was tragically cut short due to systemic failures in the response to relationship violence and stalking. Since 2019, the Lauren McCluskey Foundation has worked to improve campus safety nationwide by investing in research, education, advocacy, and response.
We work with universities, athletic departments, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations to raise awareness about the importance of an effective response to relationship violence and stalking, especially among young people. We advocate for systems that listen to and protect victims. We amplify student voices and promote changes that can save lives.
Your participation in the Spark Good Program helps ensure that this work continues and expands. Every donation, no matter the size, supports our mission to prevent tragedies like Lauren’s and to build safer futures for all students.
