Student Safety Summit Focuses on Campus Safety and Student Well-Being

The University of Utah hosted its first Student Safety event in January 2020, bringing together higher education leaders, students, and public safety professionals to discuss campus safety, mental health, and violence prevention. Inspired in part by the lessons learned from Lauren McCluskey’s death, the event highlighted the university’s ongoing safety reforms, including enhanced public safety initiatives, expanded student resources, and a commitment to creating a stronger culture of safety across Utah’s colleges and universities.
