Brooks Running Race for Campus Safety giveaways continue in 2026

Brooks Running is once again helping bring some extra excitement to the Lauren McCluskey Foundation’s Race for Campus Safety. Leading up to our 2026 races in Pullman, Washington, and Salt Lake City, Utah, registered participants will have the opportunity to win a new pair of Brooks Running shoes.

Each week, one registered participant will be randomly selected as a winner. Anyone who registers for either Race for Campus Safety is automatically entered, making participation simple. Whether you are planning to run, walk, or participate virtually, registering gives you a chance to win while supporting the Foundation’s work to improve the response to relationship violence and stalking on college campuses.

We are incredibly grateful to Brooks Running for continuing to support the Lauren McCluskey Foundation and our Race for Campus Safety events. Their partnership helps us create a stronger experience for participants while bringing greater visibility to the importance of campus safety.

Race for Campus Safety Returns to Pullman on October 17

The 2026 Pullman Race for Campus Safety will take place Saturday, October 17, bringing students, families, alumni, community members, runners, and walkers together in support of safer college campuses.

The event features 1K, 5K, and 10K options through Washington State University and the surrounding Pullman community, allowing participants of different ages and abilities to take part. Whether you are racing for a personal best, walking with family and friends, or participating in honor of someone important to you, every registration supports the Lauren McCluskey Foundation and its national programs.

Race day is about much more than reaching the finish line. Participants and spectators can connect with community organizations, partners, and resources while enjoying a welcoming event atmosphere centered on awareness, community, and action.

Race for Campus Safety: Halloween Edition Comes to Utah

Two weeks later, the Race for Campus Safety returns to Salt Lake City on Saturday, October 31, for a special Halloween Edition at the University of Utah.

Taking place on Halloween morning, this year’s Utah race will combine the mission of the Race for Campus Safety with a festive, family-friendly atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to join us in costume or their regular race gear for a morning of running, walking, activities, and community engagement.

The race will once again welcome students, families, survivors, advocates, community partners, and supporters from throughout Utah. Together, participants will help raise awareness and support programs focused on strengthening how colleges and universities respond to relationship violence and stalking.

The Halloween Edition provides another opportunity to turn a morning together with family and friends into something meaningful while helping advance campus safety nationwide.

How the Brooks Running Shoe Giveaway Works

Participants who register for either 2026 Race for Campus Safety will automatically be entered into the Brooks Running shoe giveaway. One eligible registrant will be randomly selected each week during the lead-up to the races.

The giveaway is open to registered participants who are 18 years of age or older and residents of the United States. The giveaway is void where prohibited by law. Winners will be selected at random from eligible entries and notified by email.

Brooks Running shoes awarded through the giveaway will be shipped directly by Brooks Running after the conclusion of the race series. Because we first need to collect and confirm winner sizing and mailing information before submitting the final list to Brooks Running, fulfillment can take several weeks. Winners should generally expect to receive their shoes in December. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

While a new pair of Brooks Running shoes is a great reason to register early, every participant is contributing to something much larger. Race registrations help support the Lauren McCluskey Foundation’s work in education, research, and advocacy while bringing communities together around the shared goal of creating safer college campuses.

Whether you join us in Pullman, celebrate Halloween morning with us in Utah, or participate virtually, we hope you will be part of the 2026 Race for Campus Safety.
