Memorial Efforts Support Community Action to Manage Feral Cats

The Moscow–Pullman community continues to address the growing feral animal population through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, which humanely capture, spay or neuter, and return animals to their outdoor colonies. Animal welfare organizations and volunteers emphasize that TNR is one of the most effective long-term solutions for reducing colony populations, preventing unwanted litters, and improving overall health.

The story also highlights community education efforts, encouraging residents not to abandon pets and to seek assistance when unmanaged colonies are discovered.
