Six Part Video Series Highlights the Story and Impact of the Lauren McCluskey Foundation

Over the next six weeks, the Lauren McCluskey Foundation will release a video series that shares how Lauren’s legacy continues to drive meaningful change in campus safety. Produced by Jeff Rudeen, and narrated in part by Nicole Noren, this series brings viewers behind the mission, initiatives, and partnerships that have shaped the Foundation’s work since 2018.

The first release in the series, “Creating Change with the Lauren McCluskey Foundation,” is now released on the Lauren McCluskey Foundation’s YouTube channel. In this video, Jill McCluskey reflects on the formation of the Foundation and the extraordinary community that came together following Lauren’s tragic murder. The story outlines the Foundation’s five strategic initiatives — from expanding Lauren’s Promise, to the development of the Campus Safety Score — and shares how each initiative was created to improve the response to relationship violence and stalking.

In the weeks that follow, the series will explore our work more deeply. On December 16th, viewers will hear how the development of the Campus Safety Score improves accountability and collaboration between universities and law enforcement. On December 23rd, information about the Foundation’s screenings of ESPN’s LISTEN documentary will be highlighted as a tool for awareness, training, and education across campuses. On December 30th, we will release a video focused on resource-sharing — including free therapy through BetterHelp, community engagement through the Race for Campus Safety, and self-defense education reaching more than 500 women and girls.

Rounding out the series are two additional videos in January. Life and Legacy of Lauren McCluskey,” releasing January 6th, reflects on Lauren’s life, character, and the impact she had on everyone around her. The final video on January 13th brings the pieces together, showing how expanded awareness, improved response, collaboration, and education all connect to honor Lauren and create safer environments for students nationwide.

Through these stories, our goal is to help communities understand more about our work, and to continue building shared commitment to improving campus safety for every student. Watch Part 1 of the video series below.
