OEO Energy Solutions and the Lauren McCluskey Foundation Partner on Nationwide Campus Lighting Campaign to Enhance Student Safety

We are proud to announce a partnership between the Lauren McCluskey Foundation and OEO Energy Solutions to bring enhanced safety to campuses nationwide through strategic lighting upgrades. The initiative offers free and discounted LED lighting solutions to colleges and universities, aimed at creating safer, brighter environments for students, faculty, and staff.

Lighting is a critical component of campus safety. Poorly lit areas can contribute to increased risk and vulnerability, particularly during evening hours. Through this collaborative effort, the Lauren McCluskey Foundation and OEO Energy Solutions are committed to making a measurable impact on safety by improving campus visibility and deterring potential threats.

Schools receiving 100% free LED lighting upgrades

As part of the first phase of the program, 40 select schools across the country will receive 100% free LED lighting upgrades, fully sponsored by OEO and supported by the Lauren McCluskey Foundation. These schools are:

Adelphi University, Black Hills State University, Bradley University, Casper College, Calvin University, Central Michigan University, Colorado School of Mines, Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, Grand Rapids Community College, Illinois State University, Illinois Valley Community College, Whitworth University, Washington State University (Pullman and Spokane), Western Illinois University, Walsh College, University of Michigan, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, University of Idaho, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Stony Brook University, Southwestern Illinois College, Rush University Graduate College, Rutgers University (New Brunswick, Newark, Camden), Rochester Institute of Technology, Olivet Nazarene University, Oakland University, Notre Dame of Maryland University, Northwestern University (and Lincoln St. Beach campus), Northern Illinois University, Michigan State University, Lewis-Clark State College, Lawrence Technological University, and Johns Hopkins University.

Lighting Solutions and Energy Efficiency

In addition to significantly enhancing safety, these energy-efficient lighting upgrades can deliver up to 70% savings in energy costs—offering both a security and sustainability benefit for participating schools.

4′ LED Tubes

Designed to replace existing 4′ T8 and T12 fluorescent tubes commonly used in classrooms, offices, hallways, and similar spaces. For schools currently using T5 fluorescents, please contact us for compatibility details.

Outdoor LED Fixtures

Ideal for replacing existing 400W to 1000W parking lot and outdoor fixtures, these LEDs provide reliable and energy-saving illumination for exterior areas.
