Everyone has the power to listen, believe, and respond when someone asks for help. The Lauren McCluskey Foundation has turned this into a simple pledge: I will listen to and believe you if someone is threatening you. These words can alter the course of lives—offering support to victims and their families when it matters most.
February 12th, 2025, marks what would have been Lauren McCluskey’s 28th birthday. Tragically, Lauren was murdered on October 22nd, 2018, after she was not listened to, or believed. To honor her memory, the Lauren McCluskey Foundation hosts Promise with Purpose annually—a campaign dedicated to advancing Lauren’s Promise through awareness and critical funding. Last year’s efforts surpassed all expectations: 88+ new universities and colleges have made Lauren’s Promise, alongside thousands of individuals globally, raising the total to over 400 institutions and 20,000+ supporters committed to Lauren’s Promise. This year, we’re building on that momentum with an ambitious goal: to engage 500+ campuses and 30,000 individuals worldwide in Lauren’s Promise by the end of 2025. By expanding this network, we aim to foster a culture of trust and action—ensuring no plea for help goes unheard
The campaign this year will be hosted from February 11th, 2025 at 5:00 PM to February 13th, 2025 at 5:00 PM – with focus primarily on February 12th. You can support the campaign this year by:
