We’re proud to announce a new partnership between BetterHelp and the Lauren McCluskey Foundation! Together, BetterHelp and the Lauren McCluskey Foundation are committed to sharing free therapy resources to those who may have been impacted by relationship violence. By providing access to licensed therapists via a convenient, virtually accessible platform, we aim to support survivors in their journey and empower their voice.
Supporting Survivors with Free Therapy
Survivors of relationship violence often face deep and lasting trauma—impacting their emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. Sadly, many also encounter significant barriers when seeking help, including financial hardship, stigma, and limited access to trauma-informed care. These challenges can leave survivors feeling isolated and without the support they deserve.
Through our partnership, BetterHelp and the Lauren McCluskey Foundation are working together to break down these barriers. By providing no-cost access to licensed therapists through a secure, convenient virtual platform, we’re removing some of the most common obstacles to care. Survivors can now connect with professional support from the safety and comfort of their own space—on their own terms, and at their own pace.
Breaking Down Barriers to Therapy
Every survivor’s healing journey is unique—and the right support can make all the difference. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality counseling and professional care, no matter their circumstances or where they live. Whether someone is navigating recent trauma or managing the lasting impact of past abuse, our goal is to ensure that support is both accessible and culturally responsive.
Through this partnership, we’re breaking down barriers to care and empowering survivors of relationship violence with the tools and resources they need to heal, grow, and thrive.
Expanding our Impact with Free Therapy
Lasting change begins when organizations unite behind a shared mission. Our partnership with BetterHelp is a powerful example of what’s possible when we come together to support a common cause.
By combining the Lauren McCluskey Foundation’s commitment to advocacy and survivor support with BetterHelp’s expertise in virtual mental health services, we’re launching an initiative that not only provides critical support today but also builds hope for the future. Together, we’re expanding our reach, increasing our impact, and working toward a world where no survivor has to suffer in silence.

About the Lauren McCluskey Foundation
The Lauren McCluskey Foundation is a non-profit organization established in honor of Lauren Jennifer McCluskey, a University of Utah student-athlete who was tragically murdered by a man she briefly dated in 2018. The foundation’s mission is to empower students, athletes, and institutions to improve the response to victims of relationship violence on college campuses. They provide resources and education to students and Universities, advocate for campus-safety-related policy changes, and drive on-going research towards solutions to better manage the issue of relationship violence on college campuses.
