The Lauren McCluskey Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of journalist Nicole Noren and community leader Stephanie Schweitzer to their Board of Directors. Both leaders bring a wealth of expertise and a shared commitment to advancing campus safety.
Nicole Noren is a is a Peabody and six-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker whose work focuses on accountability and amplifying underrepresented voices. She produced more than 50 investigative reports and short documentaries during her time at ESPN and now leads her own production company. Her 2023 investigative documentary, LISTEN, which tells Lauren’s story, has been viewed more than six million times and is now used by law enforcement and schools across the country as a training tool. The film has received national recognition from Investigative Reporters & Editors, the Education Writers Association, and the Associated Press Sports Editors. Through her work, Noren has demonstrated the power of storytelling to drive awareness, accountability, and change.
Stephanie Schweitzer is a Pullman native and Washington State University graduate with a degree in economics. She spent many years leading the marketing and communications organization at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and is currently pursuing graduate studies in interior design at WSU. Schweitzer is deeply involved in the Pullman community. She serves on the Pullman Education Foundation and the WSU College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board and supports causes related to education, immigrant rights, and animal welfare. Her perspective and local connections will be valuable as the Foundation continues to grow its impact.

Schweitzer and Noren join an existing Board of Directors that includes Quintin Andrizzi, Nicole Drumhiller, Ron Mittelhammer, Jill McCluskey, Matt McCluskey, Adam Schwartz, Bryan Slinker, Keith Squires, and Brian Stewart . Together, this group brings a wide range of experience across higher education, law, finance, public safety, and research to guide the Foundation’s work.
The Lauren McCluskey Foundation is also proud to announce the formation of a new Advisory Committee to provide additional strategic guidance, perspective, and subject matter expertise in support of the Foundation’s mission. The committee includes five distinguished individuals: Mark Duggan, Amos Guiora, Jani Iwamoto, Isaiah Scott, and Chris Vogel. Four members of the advisory committee are former members of the Board of Directors, ensuring a seamless transition of institutional knowledge and mission-critical experience. They are joined by Isaiah Scott, who brings specialized expertise in higher education communications to the group. Executive Director Edwin Gianini wrote, “We are deeply grateful for the years of dedicated service these individuals provided on our Board of Directors. Their transition to this new Advisory Committee allows us to continue benefiting from their leadership and passion. We look forward to their continued support in this new capacity as we work together to honor Lauren’s legacy.“
