The effects of Campus crime can include post-traumatic stress disorder, a fear of harm or violence, an inability to focus, and decreased academic performance. Experiencing, witnessing, and hearing about reports of dating violence, domestic violence, stalking and other crimes can create long lasting trauma for victims, the student body, staff and surrounding community. The Lauren McCluskey foundation is focused on changing the culture of response to reports of dating violence and stalking.
